Last night for the opening of the conference we had Midnight Madness. It was awesome! I will also take this opportunity to define the post scheme that I will publish throughout re:Invent. The idea is to have each day a small summary of my day which presents the sessions I attended.
Summary of the evening
- The session started with the classic chicken wing eating contest

As in 2019 the world champion of air guitar was present, this time he recruited other air guitarists and an air drummer. We had the right to an immitation of Slash with Paradise City and so on!

Next to this show there were different performances. BMX, skateboarding, rollerblading and many dancers, musicians throughout the evening mixed with the public.
Games to win prizes, I didn't win any so I don't know what the prizes were ๐ Picture of skate
And of course, free drinks!
The robots were part of the game
To close out this Midnight Madness 2021, AWS took the opportunity to announce a new service. In 2018, AWS launched AWS RoboMaker, a cloud-based simulation service that allows robotics developers to run, scale and automate simulation without having to manage any infrastructure.
Yesterday, they launched a public preview of AWS IoT RoboRunner, a new robotics service that makes it easier for enterprises to build and deploy applications that help fleets of robots work seamlessly together.

AWS IoT RoboRunner lets you connect your robots and work management systems, thereby enabling you to orchestrate work across your operation through a single system view.
