CDK to ASL

If you follow the news on the AWS Compute Blog, you may have noticed that AWS Step Function now supports over 200 AWS Service integrations via AWS SDK Integration . And of course, developers can test their state machines locally using Step Functions Local before deploying them to an AWS account.

If you're interested in, you can read more about mocking service integrations with AWS Step Functions Local on the AWS Compute Blog

AWS CDK

Sometimes you may need to deploy Amazon S3 buckets 🪣 with a semi-random names.

In my case, I needed to deploy 2 Amazon S3 buckets with this format:

<projectName>-<environment>-input-<uid>
<projectName>-<environment>-output-<uid>

When creating a bucket with AWS CDK, we use the Amazon S3 Construct Library.

re:Invent header

Hi everyone, here is my daily recap of the third day of AWS re:Invent 2021!

For this third day of re:Invent we could attend very interesting sessions very similar to what we do at TrackIt, i.e. serverless and the implementation of highly available solutions intended for the media.

Today I also have a new tip for you. Las Vegas is gigantic, one might be tempted to believe that the distance between point A and point B is small but the immensity of the infrastructure is in fact misleading. Remember to bring good shoes because the distance between two hotels is sometimes longer than it seems!

re:Invent header

Hi everyone, here is my daily recap of the second day of AWS re:Invent 2021!

For this second day of re:Invent it is a less busy day. Unfortunately, some of the sessions we were registered for were victims of their success. So I could not participate to the session "Building event-driven architectures".

If I can give you a piece of advice, it is to arrive 30 minutes before the beginning of the session if you have not been able to reserve a seat, that will maybe guarantee you a place!

Midnight Madness

Last night for the opening of the conference we had Midnight Madness. It was awesome! I will also take this opportunity to define the post scheme that I will publish throughout re:Invent. The idea is to have each day a small summary of my day which presents the sessions I attended.

Summary of the evening

  1. The session started with the classic chicken wing eating contest air-artists
